This program takes you trekking in ecotourism in the Iriki National Park where nature is preserved. This part of the desert is the wildest of the Moroccan Sahara and offers you fabulous landscapes to discover while walking at your own pace. You will also discover the life of nomads and learn a lot about their culture. It is a stay from which one returns with magnificent images full head, heart filled with moments of sharing and the serenity of the desert.
Transfer from Ouarzazate to the desert of Iriki erg el Mhazil. The camels have already installed the bivouac for the night. You admire the sunset from the top of the dunes then dinner is served under the stars around the campfire before retiring in a tent for the night.
After a traditional breakfast, the caravan sets off towards Erg el Ghoule for about 4 hours of walking. Installation, meal prepared by our team. You can take the time to admire the dune landscapes, enjoy the calm and relax. In the evening, you will enjoy a festive atmosphere with desert music and a campfire under the starry sky.
We admire the sunrise and after breakfast, the caravan takes the trail to the nomadic school for about 2 hours of walking. We visit the nomadic school and the nomads who live around, then walk about 1 h. We settle under the acacias and have lunch. Then we set off for a 2h walk through the great plains of the dry lake of Iriki to reach our guest house, the small house of Lake Iriki. It is a charming traditional adobe house that offers a 360° landscape of nature: the plains dotted with acacias on one side and the Djebel Bani mountains on the other. A relaxing place where we will have a meal around the fire after a great day. You can enjoy the quiet rooms for a good night’s sleep.
After breakfast we take the road back to Ouarzazate. First 2h of track in 4x4 to Foum Zguid where you can admire varied landscapes and high plateaus. Then we will join Ouarzazate with a lunch en route for an arrival in the late afternoon.
